Steel-Kamet supplies a concrete mixing plant to the Betset's factory producing low-carbon ready-mixed concrete

Betset is a Finnish family company that manufactures concrete elements and ready-mixed concrete. The new factory to be completed in Espoo's Juvanmalmi will be the tenth site of the company's factory network. Steel-Kamet partakes in the project and will supply a concrete mixing plant to the new factory. The factory investment will be fully completed in autumn 2023, but ready-mixed concrete deliveries will begin already in spring 2023. The factory investment worth 4.5 million will employ approximately 15 people and thus support the economic growth of the region.

After more than a year of preparations, the project has progressed to the implementation phase. Jari Tast, Betset's Sales Director of ready-mixed concrete, is very pleased with how the cooperation with Steel-Kamet has worked.

"During the planning phase, we carefully reviewed the needs of both parties, and Steel-Kamet presented the options they could offer. Our needs were well accounted for, and everything has progressed as planned from the start. The cooperation has gone seamlessly. In that regard, the schedules have been kept perfectly, too,” Tast describes.

A significant part of the new factory's energy needs will be covered by renewable energy. Jari Tast says that the factory's production technology is more environmentally friendly, enabling significant reductions in CO2 emissions from the production process.

"In this project, all factors have been taken into account so that the burden on nature is as little as possible", states Tast.

"The long history of working cooperation with Steel-Kamet was one of the reasons why we ended up choosing them from a number of service providers," Tast sums up in conclusion.
